New Zealand Loves Rugby
During my recent stay in Dunedin I had the opportunity to see a rugby match with my wonderful host family the Cookes.
It was the 2012 Super 15 kickoff for New Zealand fans with the Otago Highlanders (the local Dunedin team) taking on the Australian New South Wales’ HSBC Waratahs at Dunedin’s Forsyth Barr Stadium. This stadium was built last year to host the world cup and is the only covered rugby stadium on the south island, a good thing since it rained steadily that evening. Well, you can guess which team we would be cheering.
I decided to leave my good camera at home and instead used the opportunity to try out some free camera apps I had recently downloaded to my iphone 4s. I used the following:
- Stock iphone photo app
- Hiptamatic (gives a retro look-you can order additional effects for a fee-I have not)
- Panorama 360 (let’s you somewhat piece together several shots into a panorama photo)
- Camera Awesome (a new app from Smugmug)
It was a very fun evening. For you iphone users out there, these are some free apps and definitely more fun to play with than the stock camera app. The Hipstamatic is my favorite and it has many effect combinations.
It was a great game to watch and I’m so glad we could share it with you. I love the photos.
